Where's Gray?

Okay, don't know if anyone else is wondering this, but I sure am.... I've noticed that I don't have very many pictures of Gray to post. That's not because we don't adore him around here. He is very popular with his brothers and Duncan and I. He's reached his teenage years and has a very busy social schedule. When he's not hanging out with his friends, he is usually holed up in his room talking on the phone. The only time I see him is when he laughs at my attempts to become a Guitar Hero.

Flying our Kites!

Yesterday was a beautiful day! We Welches played hookey from church and took a picnic lunch to the Overlook for a day of kite flying fun with the Carson family. We also decided to release Tristan the Turtle back into the wild. The boys had a great time helping Daddy pick the perfect spot to release him. They also enjoyed feeding the ducks and the kite flying was a hit. Davis is so small that we were honestly scared the kite was going to carry him away. I love days like yesterday. Viewing the world through the eyes of children is the greatest gift.

Easter

We had a busy Easter around here. Davis was invited to his first egg hunt, so he and I had some good mommy and me time. He was very excited about all of the eggs. I laughed because there would be a pile of 8 or so, and he would grab 2 of them and then run off to another location. He kept saying, "Mommy, I found an egg!"

Easter morning was very exciting - the Easter Bunny brought the Welches a Wii! Gray and I have been busy trying to become Guitar Heroes, and the smaller Welch boys are trying to become professional bowlers. The Easter Bunny also brought Tristan and Aidan light "savers" - not the best idea. There have been more than a few injuries from those and many "Aidan/Tristan, I am your father"s spoken around the house.
For church, the boys donned their Sunday best. As Tristan is getting older, it is very hard for me to come to terms with the fact that I only have the option of dressing him in polos and khakis. I sure do miss all of the smocked and appliqued stuff. But, he was very proud of his seersucker suit and tie. I thought he looked like such a little man.

Aidan's 4th Birthday

The Boys with Maw Maw Great.
Aidan celebrated his 4th birthday on March 16th. We had a great party at Pump It Up. The only problem is it was during his nap time. So, during part of the party he was having a meltdown. However, by the time cake, ice cream, and presents rolled around he had cheered back up.

A look back

As I've been looking through the pictures of the boys over the years, I picked some favorites to post. It's amazing how fast they grow up.

Soccer Season has begun..

Well, life is getting busier around here. Aidan and Tristan have both started Spring soccer, and Gray is on the St. Andrew's Middle School track team. We spend a lot of time going to games, meets, and practices. Tristan scored 1 goal in his first game, and Aidan scored 2 (as you can tell from the picture).

Aidan the Little Cowboy!

Aidan rode his first horse on February 22nd. He made me nervous because he kept taking his hands off the saddle to wave at me. I was so sure that he was going to fall off. Note, he had to wear his little boots that we bought while visiting Aunt M'Lee and Uncle Herb in Montana.
