MS Blues Marathon/Half Marathon

This was after we had been waiting about 30 minutes for Daddy to run by. They were not happy campers.

The 2nd annual Blues Marathon was this past Saturday. Since it started in the neighborhood, the boys and I walked some of the route and parked ourselves at the finish line to watch Duncan finish the half-marathon. We were proud of him, especially since he had not run in 3 weeks. They had some great food and blues music afterwards, so we hung out at Fondren Corner for most of the morning and then came home and took very long naps. I think we all needed it!

New Year's Eve with the Lewis and Allegrezza families

We were fortunate enough to spend New Year's Eve with the Lewis and Allegrezza families. We played Guitar Hero, MarioKart, and the girls' enjoyed dressing up Aidan and Davis as SuperGirl and Hannah Montana. It was pretty funny! I could see Duncan cringe a little when his boys came out with wigs and dresses on....I hope that this is the beginning of a wonderful, blessed year for everyone.

Gray has wheels!

We made a quick trip to Vicksburg last week to meet Gray's Nan, Uncle Don, and and Aunt Donna. Before Gray's D-Dad passed away, he bought a 1984 Mercedes that he restored for when Gray began to drive. It is a beautiful car, and Gray is very proud of it. We stopped at the welcome center so that the boys could see the Mississippi River and the bridge. They were in awe, especially when I told them that it was near the spot where we launch the boat so that Mommy's work can collect samples.

Christmas Day 2008

We had a wonderful, low key Christmas this year. It was just my family, Gamee, and the boys. We would have stayed in our PJs all day, but I did make the boys get dressed for lunch. The living room was filled with Batman, Lincoln Logs, games, Spiderman, etc. but I think their favorite gift was their new game table where they can play pool, foosball, and air hockey. Gray got some clothes and posters to decorate his room. I guess as time has passed I've forgotten how quickly he has grown and that he needed to update his room to a teen's room. So, we are in the process of painting, putting together a full-size bed, etc. in Gray's room.

Christmas Eve

Tristan and Aidan sang with the children's choir at the early service on Christmas Eve. After that, we came home and mixed up our reindeer food and put out cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and the reindeer. The boys wore their reindeer pants that LaLa and I made for them earlier in the month.
