Part-time stay at home mom
So, I have to blog about my first full day (Thursday) at home with the kids. It started out great. I took Aidan and Tris to get haircuts, we went to the bank, paid their tuition, etc. That afternoon, I offered to watch Little Forrest until his grandmother got off of work. At the end of the day (around 5), I went downstairs for one second to answer the door, and I heard a scream. It was coming from my fearless one (Aidan, who happened to be dressed as Batman). I ran up the stairs, and it appears that Batman fell over a pillow into his brother's bed busting his eyebrow open (according to the reliable witnesses of Tristan and Davis). I'm thinking the correct version is that Batman was jumping off of brother's bed onto the pillows and hit his head. Anyway, I loaded him up as soon as Duncan got home and we headed to the ER. His costume was a hit, and he even told the nurse that it was the Scarecrow that caused his accident. Turned out little man needed a couple of swabs of Dermabond, and he will have a slight scar. However, as I was sitting there, looking at my white-haired mischievous imp I foresaw many such trips to the ER in his future. NOT how I wanted my first day to go, but it is a memory none-the-less.
